To make it short. I got asked by Saal-Digital to do a photobook. So I got this one was for free. Thanks again, I was really happy. Normally I do a photobook every end of the year, as you may know. So this time I thought, lets focus on something. Since I take my camera with me all the time when I’m on vacation and take photographs of random people, I had the idea to do a Black and White book with just people. Sounds simple right? It is, but I’m really glad I did! Came out really nice! Paper quality and print quality is on point! But never be lazy! Always export you stuff with the highest possible resolution and if you want to go pro, include their ICC color profil. Its really easy and increases the whole quality! The present box is also a huge plus! Even if you dont want to give the book to somebody, it keeps dust off the photobook and is the perfect bumper if you drop it, and looks good!
If you wonder whats on the cover: Its a stone wall illuminated with the iPhone Flash. Shutter was around 6s.
PS: Another huge plus: You don’t need any skills with InDesign or Corel or anything. You order via their own software, which includes a huge layout bundle, just with drag and drop! And a safe upload tool! I hate those browser java upload-tools. If they fail you have to start over. Not with this one!

Kurz gesagt, ich wurde von Saal-Digital angeschrieben ob ich nicht lust hätte für umme eine Fotobuch zu gestalten. Einfach um den Unterschied mal zu sehen. Da hab ich nicht nein gesagt. Obwohl ich ja normalerweise nur am Ende des Jahres ein Fotobuch für mich selbst mache. Also dacht ich mir, such dir ein Thema und gestalte dazu einfach ein komplettes Buch. Da kam mir die Idee. Da ich ja meistens wenn ich irgendwo bin irgend welche Menschen auf der Strasse ablichte und sonst auch viel Menschen fotografiere dacht ich mir ich mach ein komplettes Buch mit unterschiedlichen Menschen nur in Schwarz und Weiss. Hört sich simpel an, ist es auch! Aber ich bin ultra froh es so gemacht zu haben! Papier und Druck Qualität sind Wahnsinn! Da kann man nicht meckern. Damit es gut raus kommt sollte man nicht am export sparen. Also immer die höchste Auflösung exportieren und wer es richtig richtig machen will sollte das ICC Profil von Saal in sein Photoshop ziehen und mit ein paar Klicks das ganze auf die Druckdateien anwenden, dann wird die Gesamtqualität natürlich nochmals besser! Ich bestell auch immer die Geschenkbox mit, selbst wenn man das ganze nicht verschenkt. Hält den Staub fern und dient auch insgesamt als Schutz falls das ganze mal runter fällt. Und sieht natürlich sehr schön aus!
Wer sich wundert, was das auf dem Cover ist. Ist eine Steinwand die ich mit dem iPhone Blitz ausgeleuchtet hab. Shutter war so auf 6s.
PS: Noch ein Vorteil: Wer keinen Plan von InDesign Corel oder ähnlichem hat. Bestellt wird per Saal-Digital Software. Die kommt mit ewig vielen Layout Vorlagen die per Drag&Drop gefüllt werden, easy! Außerdem mit sicherem Upload. Mich nerven diese Browser Upload-Tools die dann manchmal einfach abbrechen. Nicht mit dem hier!
